The New Queen Of Sci-Fi-Horror-Movies - From Russia With Beauty

Not every decade but every century should have its own queen of sci-fi-horror-movies. Sigourney Weaver was the heroine of five movies about that "Alien" (the first one 1979), now Russain actress Oksana Akinshina is stepping into her footprint with Sputnik, and even though I could only watch the trailer so far, I am certain, that she will succeed.

Graydon Carter´s airmail.com calls her "something of a 21st-century Ninotchka, this soberly spoken, literal-minded Russian star—but she does laugh dismissively when explaining that seeing herself being dragged about by the hideous reptilian invader (a special effect added after filming) wasn’t remotely unsettling to her."

And they wish we all see more of her in the near future, so far, she only appeared in one American movie, The Bourne Supremacy, but ther will be a movie about the nuclear catastrophe of Chenobyl in 1986, very soon, the first one, coming from Russia, ever.

Expect to see more of that mother of three, and more international productions. And hopefully not only three more sequeals of Sputnik.
