Wie war die Nacht - My podcast for Widder Hotel in Zurich

I love podcasts. Since over two years now I listen to words rather than to music. When I work out, walk the dog or take the underground, when in the car alone.

Instead of listening to my favorite songs over and over again or reading newsletters, papers, magazines, I prefer to fill my ears and my head with interesting, learn-worthy news or comments on news. And most likely with interviews or talks.

I found out, that there are so many different podcasts around now, that you just chose whatever you want - there will be a podcast about it! With whoever sounds important to you and whatever you care for.

Having lead so many interviews in my life as a journalist myself, it dawned on me, that I would love to do one myself. And the chance came, when Widder Hotel in Zurich asked me about possible contributions for their anniversary year in 2020.

So I suggested to do a format called "How was your night - Wie war die Nacht?" with all the illuster and interesting guests staying in this unique 5-Star-Mansion in Zurich´s old town center. And the folks from Widder Hotel loved the idea.

The marketing director Fanny Eisl hired Lukas Amacher, a musician and music producer( who had worked as a CEO in a company revolutionizing living space within temporary free houses, but after several successful years wanted to go back to his artistic roots) and we started to discuss a more detailed concept, the choice of guests, their sequences.

Our pilot episode took place during Zurich Filmfest in October, my first guest was a regular, German actor Sebastian Koch stays at Widder Hotel whenever in Zurich, he even prefers the same room, as every single one of the 49 rooms looks different.

And even though our conversation took place a while ago I still think it is worth listening. During your next train ride, while ironing your precious blouses or pants, when preparing dinner for friends.
